Below is a list of 'Motorcycle Rights Organizations' along with their Mission Statements and Objectives. You can also link to their websites from here to find out more about them and what they do for you. We think this is important information to all riders. We will be adding things to this section all the time to show you what they're up to.



MMA is a non-profit Motorcycle Rights Organization (MRO) comprised of motorcyclists and motorcycle enthusiasts who are concerned with the future, safety and welfare of motorcycling. It lobbies to fight for their rights, encourages involvement in the legislative process and promotes a positive image for motorcycling by being pro-active in the communities. The objectives listed below can be found on the MMA Website and on the inside of their monthly newspaper the 'Motorcycle Patriot'.

Their Objectives Are:

*Create an atmosphere of camaraderie among individuals where motorcycling can be enjoyed in a free and responsible manner
*Educate individuals and organizations regarding issues and activities in the legislative and judicial branches of the government, at both state and federal levels
*Encourage an interest in and promote the protection of our nation's Constitution and Bill of Rights
*Encourage and support involvement in the legislative process
*Educate automobile drivers and motorcycle pilots regarding motorcycle awareness and safety
*Promote a positive image for motorcycling by being pro-active in our individual communities
*Conduct fund-raising activities to support these objectives

The Arizona Confederation Of Clubs is made up of patch holding clubs and various organizations which focus on judicial issues, their major focus being in the area of biker discrimination. The ACMC is a united effort to protect the rights of all motorcyclists. Through the Arizona Confederation movement, the communication within the clubs has opened up dialogue, resulting in the resolution of many diverse issues. Although a common goal of all Confederations is, to fight for its member clubs' rights through the courts, against biker discrimination, governmental intrusion/harassment; each Confederation is totally independent of one another. They individually decide their structure, methods of operation and specific goals. Each Confederation that belongs to NCOM have the choice of sending representatives from their organization to attend the National and Regional NCOM Conventions. They have the opportunity to get to know each other and share what is going on in their areas.

AMERICAN  MOTORCYCLISTS  ASSOCIATION (AMA)

The American Motorcyclist Association was founded in 1924. It is a non-profit organization with more than 250,000 members.

The AMA pursues, promotes, and protects the interests of motorcyclists, while serving the needs of its members. They track legislature for road and off road for 50 states and at the National level. They consist of Tour and Riding, Competition, Off Road and Trails, all facets
of motorcycling. The major income of the AMA is its membership dues. They provide:

 *Government Relations Department - Reps in Washington and Western States
*Attendance and workshops at the MRF Conference
 *Help riders find the right insurance coverage at reasonable prices
 *Medical insurance for AMA Sanctioned Runs and Events
*Many activities, various other products & services and the AMA magazine

The MRF incorporated in 1987, is a membership based national motorcyclists' rights organization headquartered in Washington D.C. The MRF is involved in federal and state legislation and regulation, motorcycling safety education, training, licensing and public awareness. The MRF provides members and state ,motorcyclists' rights organizations with direction and information to protect motorcyclists' rights and motorcycling. The MRF sponsors annual regional and national educational seminars for motorcyclists' rights activists and publishes a bi-monthly newsletter called 'The MRF REPORTS'. E-mail: mrfoffice@mrf.org

The first Motorcyclist's rights organization to establish a full-time presence in Washington, the Motorcycle Riders Foundation is the only Washington voice devoted exclusively to the street rider. MRF established MRFPAC in the early 1990's to advocate the election of candidates who would champion the cause of rider safety and rider freedom. Mission Statement
To continue continue developing an aggressive, independent national advocate for the advancement of motorcycling and its associated lifestyle, which is financially stable and exceeds the needs of motorcycling enthusiasts.

Mission Goals
*Maintain and improve our ability to act as an advocate before national, state, and local
legislative, executive, and judicial bodies and with private or public entities regarding issues affecting motorcycles, motorcyclists, or motorcycling.

*Maintain and improve our financial base and ensure financial stability.

*Maintain and improve our capability to meet and exceed the needs of our membership base and all state motorcyclists' rights organizations.

*Maintain and improve our capability to be the national information center for motorcyclists' rights information.

*Enhance training of national, state, and local motorcyclists' rights activists.

All motorcyclists/individuals are invited to join the MRF regardless of what or if they ride, the patch they wear or the motorcyclists rights organization they belong to.

NATIONAL  COALITION  OF  MOTORCYCLISTS (NCOM)

NCOM is a National organization consisting of a Board of Directors, Legislative Task Force which includes State Legislators/Senators and a National Council made up of representatives from each of the NCOM member groups. NCOM is not supported by membership dues or solicited funds from member groups or from the motorcycle industry. All operating costs are paid through the Aid to injured Motorcyclists (A.I.M.) nationwide network of attorneys.

The goal and purpose of NCOM is to assist all motorcycle organizations and individual riders with legal, legislative and other motorcycling issues. The Coalition will assist NCOM member groups through such free services as legislative assistance including biker anti-discrimination, info networks and a various number of programs.

NCOM sponsors National & Regional Conventions with world wide attendance and the participation of  ICOM and the Confederation of Clubs.

All motorcycle groups are invited to join NCOM regardless of what they ride, the patch they wear or the motorcyclists rights organization they belong to.



INTERNATIONAL COALITION OF MOTORCYCLISTS (ICOM)

ICOM is a clearing-house for international motorcycle information collected from and distributed to the national organizations in other countries. The international exchange of valuable information and the coming together to fight repressive laws is now a reality. ICOM participates in various National Conferences/Conventions.

Friends of Luke for Rider Awareness is a non-profit support organization with 501(c)(3) status, tax identification 86-1034221. They are dedicated to making motor vehicles aware of motorcycles on the road by raising the necessary funds to post billboards around the metropolitan Phoenix area, in support of all those who ride a motorcycles.
