Paul Yaffe Originals 5th Annual PYO Bash
April 1, 2007

Here we are at the end
of another Arizona Bike Week and we are ready to party! Every year we
look forward to the annual PYO Bash put on each year at the shop of
master bike builder, Paul Yaffe. Paul and his crew do an awesome job of
making all riders feel welcome as everyone is allowed to tour the shop
and look at the newest creations of Paul Yaffe Originals. You can spend
as much time as you like looking and all the techs are always glad to
answer any and all of your questions about the builds or things you
might be needing a professional opinion on.
The party started at
noon but by 10:30, bikes were pulling in wanting to come in early. With
the crew still doing some set up and getting the band in place and ready
to play the gates stayed shut until 11:30. Folks hung out most of the
day enjoying the sounds from the ‘Western Bone Cleavers’, eating pizza
and drinking beer. Many hung out just waiting for one thing…the burnout!
Yes indeed, every year
Paul brings out one of the customs to do a really awesome burnout in the
middle of the party. Last year everyone raved about the 2 bike
wheel-to-wheel burnout… well this year they got one more…3 bikes that
is. This time 3 of Pauls customs, including the 2007 Discovery Bike
‘Suzy Q’, lined up against the wall of the shop and went for it. There
is nothing like seeing over a quarter of a million in bikes doing
burnouts, that really gets the crowd excited.
We have found this to be
one of the best parties during Bike Week. Each year this party pulls in
4-5000 people in a five hour period. And the best thing is it is always
free. We have said it before and we will say it again…that is truly
‘Biker’ and ‘Customer’ appreciation. Keep up the good work guy’s and we
look forward to next year!
