6th Annual 3 Ball Run
February 10, 2007

A Report from
the 'Webwench'
What a
nice day as we are off and running to one of our favorite runs, the MMA
Leather Districts 6th Annual 3 Ball Run. Apparently, we weren’t the only
ones thinking it was a great day to get out, 100 other riders felt the
same. This was the largest turnout ever for the 3 Ball Run.
Now
racking 3 pool balls at every stop for 100 people x 5 stops is 1500
racks of balls or 4500 pool balls. WOW! Now that’s just an insane amount
of balls. The Leather District, although a little surprised by the large
turnout, seemed to take it in stride and recruited whatever help they
needed along the way to keep things running as smoothly as possible.
It took 2
hours to clear out the first stop but things started to move faster as
the ride progressed. Some stops had more than one pool table, which
allowed for quicker processing at each stop. We can tell you there
couldn’t have been one unhappy bar owner at any of the stops. This run
literally packed every one of them.
The thing
we were most impressed by was the patience of all riders at the event.
Not once did we hear ‘How long is this gonna take’ or ‘how long before
you announce the winner’ there was nothing except people having fun and
enjoying the day.
The last
stop was at the Stardust Lounge. They were great hosts and even brought
in a band for the afternoon to entertain everyone called Exit 195. The
band was good but they were so loud ya just couldn’t think let alone
talk. Brats and Sauerkraut were also supplied FREE of charge by the
Stardust. FYI… The Stardust has a new owner and is now a biker friendly
bar with colors welcome, a big change from the previous owners.
Great job
to the Leather District and all of their volunteers. This is a great,
fun run for everyone whether you can play pool or not. For $5 bucks you
can’t go wrong!
